Hi Ron,
I couldn’t take it anymore….I bought Paul Balaster's Dolphin in Houston TX. We trailered her home last week, 851 miles. We slept in her in Walker, Louisiana in a Wal-Mart parking lot. Can't help but think that’s a Dolphin first.
September 26, 2009 DFI Brad Miller in Portland, OR brought the ad below to our attention on Sept 23. Paul has been in touch with pictures and a couple of emails. If she is # 227 she was built in 1971 based on the other adjacent hull #'s in the Roster by Hull Number

Thanks a bunch Ron, I'd love to see the boat go to someone who's going to appreciate the dolphins and take care of her. I've attached all the photos I currently have. I think the hull number is 227, but that's from memory, I'll have a look next time I'm down there and double check the nameplate.
If you'd like, you can put my email on the listing on your webpage, so if anyone is interested they can reply to me directly. paulmb@gmail.com
Thanks
Paul
1971 Yankee Dolphin 24, 2000$ OBO, main and jib sail, plenty of extras, 6hp outboard as well, clear title for both boat and motor. The boat is great shape, needs some TIC, someone to take care of it. Need to sell to someone who has time for upkeep and to sail her, since I bought a house, between home improvement and work I don't have time to take care of the boat and sail her.
Boat is kept at Legend Point Marina in Clear Lake, transferable lease on the slip. No trailer included. Standing rigging is less than 5 years old, ready to sail with minimal work. Centerboard is stuck up, but sails fine that way, never had a problem.
